Holding on
Letting go is never an easy thing to do. Even when holding on only brings pain, I still stubbornly tighten my grip, and exert all strength fighting off rationality; I want to tear the skin of this well-educated person and revert to being a miserable animal, completely disregarding dignity, madly howling, clawing, munching everything in sight, including my own body, because the pain within is so much, only a great pain from outside can take my mind off of it for a second.
